The people of the congregation seemed like great people, however, it was slightly disappointing to arrive to a church without someone to greet, however, it could have been that I arrived late. The sermon for this day was mainly for men which made it uncomfortable for females and made it easy for them to disengage in the service. Although the worship set was rather short, it did consist of many instruments which added to a pleasant and relaxing sound with contemporary worship music. Because of the first impression given by the exclusivity of the pastor's message it would be difficult to return, however, a second chance should be given.

WELCOMENESS
When I arrived, I was surprised when no one was there to welcome or greet me. Now the service began at 10:45 and I arrived at 11:00 and so my guess is that when I entered the greeters happened to be away or busy at the moment. However, when I entered the sanctuary, the people were warm and welcoming.

ENVIRONMENT/ The Building (what it looked like)
- The sanctuary's ceiling reminding me of Scottish architecture with a high pointed ceiling. It was air conditioned and the temperature was comfortably cool. Rays of natural light peaked through the blinded windows giving a hint of brightness to a what seemed like a darker room. The plants that were placed on the outskirts of the sanctuary gave it a natural feeling. The cushioned pews were 20% filled with congregation. The church had a great audio and visual setup that added to the worship experience.

ATMOSPHERE in church / The Feel
The plants and the lighting added to a peaceful setting. The air conditioned building made it a great temperature. The vacant seats made it feel very open and empty.

SERMON
The sermon was given by the head pastor. He began his message stating it was only for the men and though he added humor to lighten it up, it was evident that the message excluded women during this service. The pastor did include scripture and Bible stories as examples to support his message as it was oriented mainly for men. Though the message would have suited a men's retreat or an afternoon service geared for men, it unfortunately was uncomfortable as it invited women to disengage and check out during this part of the service.

The service felt somewhat random and haphazard as it jumped from song to announcements to baptism to offering to sermon. Perhaps the baptism adjusted the order as it needed to be placed in the service and created a service that had a chance to flow better.
